No. 10: 11, 7, 6, 4

Hi, friends! It's been a little while since our last edition of The Fabric Files. I've been waiting for inspiration to strike, and I think I found it. This edition features natural color combinations—blends of warm and cool colors that have a soothing vibe.

If you're new here, welcome! You can use the suggested bundles and quilt patterns as a guide to help you find your next fabric pull. Choose all of the fabrics, just a few, or swap the ones you don't like—there is no obligation to purchase the entire bundle! The name of each fabric links directly to the product listing in my shop.

If you have any questions or are a pattern designer and would like me to feature one of your quilt patterns in an upcoming edition of The Fabric Files, I would love to hear from you! You can always email me at hello@fabricandreason.com.

11 Fabrics: Balletcore

Recommended Quilt Pattern: Star Adventure by Then Came June (Medium Throw, Alternating Assembly)

Are you asking yourself how you're going to use these fabrics to make the Star Adventure Quilt? Don't worry, here's my vision: use one 1/4 yard of each of the pinks and creams as the light fabrics, and the Kona Black as the dark fabric. This will create a ballet inspired high contrast quilt that still maintains a soft and sweet quality. You could also pick just one of the light pinks or creams and pair it with the black for a similar effect!

7 Fabrics: Elegant Earthy Clay

Fabrics included (top to bottom):

7. Essex Linen Oyster

Recommended Quilt Pattern: West Hawk Quilt by The Blanket Statement

Here's how I would make this quilt: Kona - Coffee for the background and the other six colors for the stripes. The added linen stripe will give it an earthy, cozy texture.

6 Fabrics: Serene Earth Tones

Fabrics Included (top to bottom):

6. Essex Linen Oyster

Recommended Quilt Pattern: Peanut Butter by Then Came June

How I would make this quilt: 3 yards of Kona Roasted Pecan for the background fabric, 1/4 yard of Kona Black for the small squares, and 1/2 yard each of Kona Eucalyptus, Kona Sand, Kona Sky, and Essex Linen Oyster for the strips.

4 Fabrics: Dreamscape

Recommended Quilt Pattern: Star Crossed 2.0 by Suzy Quilts (Limited Color Option)

How I would make this quilt: I would use Kona - Sky for the background and Ballet Slipper, Golden Bronze, and Charcoal for the star colors. Although, I can really envision any placement of these colors within the quilt, so here's your permission to not follow my advice!

Fabrics included (top to bottom):
